In Love with a Stranger

IN LOVE WITH A STRANGER!

He saw her for the first time
On a Sunday and he knew she would be his
She looked beautiful, amazing and mature
She was one of the miracles he had never seen before
He could not believe he was falling in love with a stranger!

She became a friend, a sister, a confidant
he wanted more. Her time and maybe her heart
he believes in the law of reciprocity
So he gave his heart and hoped for mutuality
he still cannot believe he did that for a stranger!

He could not and still, cannot explainthe activities that went on in his chest
the day he asked her to be his
Ooooh! he was so glad she said “Yes”
Yet, they both knew they were still strangers!

He gave, did and said anything
To show her how in love with her he was
Even the beautiful land across the sea
Could not be as compelling as she was
he cannot believe he sacrificed so much for a stranger!

He is a stripling, being groomed for success
And he was taught that he would fall a thousand times on his chest.
he had seen someone he trusted to handle the contents (of his chest)
Was he foolish or was it that he did not ask for her consent?
How could he have given such responsibility to a stranger?

He has a lot of load to hold
Out of love, trust and thought for the future, he made her his pivot
He believed his respect, expectation and loyalty would reap plenty folds
He was probably silly because it has all come to not
And he wonders why he fell in love with a stranger!

He begged, he cried,
Even though he has been a man, more times, than he has been a child
He cannot figure how a punishment this cruel
could be used to correct a statement made out of an aching mind
All because he fell in love with a stranger!

He is a warrior, a leader, a future success story
One who has lived a life many young men cannot even imagine
One who has the strength that only God can bestow
Strength that will make the world bow
Nevertheless, he cannot understand why he is still in love with a stranger!
